Le Corbusier was a great French architect who designed75 buildings among other things in 12 different countries. The largest site he designed is in Firminy next to St Etienne where we spent the day studying art on a school trip this week.

VICHY

  THE OPERA HOUSE

THE SPA WATERS

THE GALLERIES

THE EUROPE BRIDGE OR PONT DE L'EUROPE

A trip to Vichy with Adèle....

First I showed Stanley the Europe Bridge that links Vichy to Bellerive and goes over the Allier River. Then we went to the Célestins fountain .

Next we walked around and strolled in the parks under their wonderful trees which come from different countries-all in their autumn colours.

I also took Stanley under the covered galleries that connect us with the spa water drinking hall. There, you can taste the world-famous Vichy waters;some are good to treat diseases.

After that I showed him the forum with its oriental dome. Finally we stood opposite the opera house that is a special and wonderful architectural building.

F A S H I O N   !!! !!! !! !!!

Did you know that we are the masters of fashion and food ?
Here we never wear a uniform so Stanley was okay .Our favourites are jeans and sweatshirts, and boys are keen on hair gel as you can notice on our three models from 3b (LUCAS  VALENTIN AND ANTONIN)

AMANDINE

Girls are keen on studs : on the soulders,on their shoes, everywhere !

At the moment this sort of boots is fashionable in France.

Stanley in Bellenaves ,France

Hi   from  AUVERGNE  ,  FRANCE   !!!

Alexandre is holding Stanley even though he finds him heavy .....

Stanley couldn't be in a warmer place with classes 3A 3B and 3C here in the village of Bellenaves.
He went on a school tour with Clément,Elliot and Victor : here in France we have school lunch at 12.30
with four classes in the morning and three or four in the afternoon. Our school's quite rural as we all come daily  from twenty villages around  and few of us actually  live in Bellenaves.

The school gate where three hundred students from ages 11 to 15 get in every morning. We don't have class on Wednesday
 afternoons though !

The French countryside with Romane

Monsieur  Cheval

La  ruche et ses abeilles

Sur le tracteur

Staying in AUVERGNE right now ,Stanley spent the weekend with Romane .

He discovered horseriding at her grandparents' in the countryside ,and even took dangerous steps towards a beehive (were they sleeping when he reached the hive?).

He could have tasted French honey but it wasn't a collecting day. Finally the day ended with a short drive on the family tractor.

Will Stanley survive his rural experience ?
